Morning everyone. It's our last full week of term, and we have a long weekend coming up.

For this week

Wednesday - incoming K1 Admissions (all day in resource room) Kennedy School VP will come and observe how we conduct play visits in the afternoon.

Friday - Family Beach Picnic

Note for next week - No Chinese/non-contact W16

Family Beach Picnic @ Repulse Bay on Friday

As discussed, the scavenger hunt stations will be optional and shorter.

  • Santa - Laura's dad will do AM, and Yammi's husband will do PM.
  • Bake Sale - the class parents are baking cakes, brownies, and cookies for us. Our admin team will be crewing the bale sale station in the middle of the picnic area.
  • First Aid - Jaz will have some basic first aid items at the bake sale station. The beach's first aid station is located between the toilets and Limewood.

Health & Safety Reminders

Playground:

Please be mindful of ratios. If it's getting too challenging to manage or control as too many children are outside, please ask them to go back inside or close stations to allocate more staff outside.

Also, please cone off any areas that are deemed unsafe (e.g., the path around the caretaker's quarters or empty car park space) to prevent accidents and injuries.

Lift Safety:

When using the lift, please wait for the lift door to close fully before leaving the lift area to ensure any nearby child is clear of potential hazards or accidents.

Baby Gate or Closed Door:

The last adult in the line, please remember to put back the baby gate or close the door behind you upon exiting the area.

ESF Impact

Here is the latest Nov issue of ESF Impact, a regular publication that brings to light the latest achievements, research developments, and impact initiatives from across ESF. A couple of areas of interest in this issue include Peps Mccrea's PD on memory and learning and an invitation to engage in Action Research and Professional Inquiry (ARPI), both starting in January 2024.

Upcoming Dates

Please check our internal calendar below, as we might forget to remind everyone of odd dates. We will continue to add events to the calendar as soon as it's confirmed. Here's the full 2023/24 Calendar

Thank you!
