Happy 2024, everyone! I hope you've had an enjoyable and relaxing break. Wishing you all a great year ahead!
To start off the new year, we've received a positive IB Evaluation report from the visiting team. It just reaffirms our shared purpose and efforts. Thanks again to everyone and, of course, Brenda for leading us through this process! Please read the report and Brenda's message below.
On another note, we do have some sad news; you might have seen we are advertising for a new administrator. Karis will be relocating out of HK, and her last day with us will be on 24 Jan.
For this Week
Tuesday - Admin interviews, no OPRS with Cindy
Wednesday - Outstanding play visits (any who were sick or needed to be rescheduled). There is also a group of current K1/K2 to backfill places.
IB Evaluation Report
Our official IB evaluation report is here! It's a testament to your collective efforts and showcases the positive impact of your teaching practices, curriculum implementation, and commitment to the IB philosophy. Once again, our deepest appreciation goes out to you all for your hard work and commitment to supporting each child to be the best that they can be, and we couldn't be prouder to work alongside such an incredible team. Let us celebrate this achievement together and recognize the collective success we have achieved! 🥳
SPOT Speech Therapy
Joice will resume her speech therapy sessions on Monday, 22 January. She is fully booked on a Monday and will start seeing some children on a Thursday. Please feel free to share her Term 2 Social crew flyer with any parents interested in social classes.
PD - Neuroaffirming Language in Schools
We are very excited to be welcoming neuropsychologist Dr Liz Angoff on 1 February 8.00am - 9.30am to present on Using Neuroaffirming Language in Schools. The training is targeted towards Learning Diversity (LD) Coordinators, LD Teachers and any other interested teachers. This is certain to be a helpful and inspiring webinar that will enhance our ability to connect, engage and empower neurodiverse individuals within our settings.
Please see the flyer attached if you are interested. Feel free to come and have a chat with Laura if you are interested in registering for the course.
Upcoming Dates
Please check our internal calendar below, as we might forget to remind everyone of odd dates. We will continue to add events to the calendar as soon as it's confirmed. Here's the full 2023/24 Calendar
