Happy Year of Dragon (or Loong)! I hope you all enjoyed the break!

A warm reminder: here's the website

that takes you to the schedule for today's conference, as well as workshops you can choose to engage with. Throughout the day, you will be making 3 choices for your own learning:

  • The opening + keynote will start at 8:30 at Sha Tin College for everyone to attend
  • AM: Breakout sessions 1 & 2 (10:30 & 11:30 start)
  • PM: Join either a masterclass / mini-PD / job-alike session (1:15 start)

I want to give a special shout-out to Robyn, the Chinese Team, and the K2 teachers who will be presenting in the breakout sessions. Thank you for your commitment and dedication, not only to Hillside, but also for sharing your valuable knowledge and contributions with the wider ESF community.

The Hillside community is rooting for you. I'm sure your passion, expertise and experiences will inspire fellow early years educators, creating a ripple effect that will benefit children beyond the kindergartens 😉.

Tuesday - ARP visit (K2 PM)

Wednesday - Admissions play visits (resources room)

Thank you again for Sports Fun Day!

Thank you, everyone, for a fun and memorable Sports day! We were incredibly fortunate with the weather in the end, and there were lots of smiling faces and loud cheers at all the stations! Thank you for all your hard efforts in running the stations. Lots of families shared how much they enjoyed it, and hopefully we can make this an annual event again :)

Class parent, Katie (Gecko AM) helped secure the venue and organise the logistics with the IRC. We will ask a few children from each class to sign / draw on a thank you card for her.

Welcome New Admin

Please welcome our new admin, Amy Yeung. Amy has previously worked at QBS and ESFC in the finance and HR departments. She comes to us from Malvern College, so we hope her prior experience will help her make a smooth transition into our setting.

I want to give CJ and Jaz a special shout-out for sharing the load over the past couple of weeks. Unlike some larger schools, our small admin team is also admissions, procurement, finance, HR, resources, and facilities...just to name a few of the things they have to keep on top of. Thank you ladies!

Freya's Got Balls

A warm reminder "Freya's Got Balls" is coming up soon. The event aims to raise funds and awareness for charities that support families who receive the heartbreaking news that there is no cure for their child's condition.

Freya's Got Balls will take place on 2 March at the Hong Kong Football Club Sports Hall, which will be transformed into the World's Greatest Bingo Fundraiser! This event promises to be a memorable night filled with laughter, fun, and the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
