Morning everyone! Congrats to Joyce and Nita on completing the ELSA course 🎉 We look forward to learning from you new skills and strategies to support the social-emotional needs of our children. If anyone is interested in the ELSA training for next year, take this opportunity to chat with our trained ELSAs and let us know if you want to consider it for next year.

Staffing Updates 
Unfortunately, we'll say goodbye to two amazing colleagues, Yvonne and CJ. Yvonne is relocating back to Canada, and CJ secured an EA position at Discovery College - congrats CJ! 🎉  They'll both be around until the end of the school year, so we'll plan a proper farewell before summer.

On a positive note, Patsy has completed her treatments and is steadily on the path to recovery. She will initially return to work today on a part-time basis, working as a floater on Mondays and Wednesdays to support all classes. Let's welcome her back warmly and support her as she gets back into the swing of things.

ESF Media Footage (Thursday)
The ESF Digital Content Creator, Janice Ng, will visit on Thursday morning during open-play time(10:30-11:30). She will capture video clips of our children engaged in various experiences for the new ESF website project. 

Please do not wear name badges for this session. I will also take advantage of this morning to take some clips and photos to use for our parent webinars. We have a list of children who do not have photo consent/non-participants. These students will be easily identifiable by a giraffe sticker, helping to recognise and assist them appropriately throughout the event.

Thank you for your attention and cooperation in ensuring a smooth process during the media team's visit.

The Impossible Question of Living Well - Dr Helen Street

We begin with a discussion of identity, personality and the creation of each of us as a 'me' in a social world. We'll then look to the social contexts that make us and ask not simply 'How can we be improved?' but also, 'How can we meet our most important needs within the contexts of our lives?' We examine impermanence and learn that the essence of living well is knowing, really knowing, that everything changes, always. With our understanding of impermanence at hand, we then consider the nature of progress and re-visit our goals as signposts to our values. Finally, we look to understand that, throughout the highs and lows of our ever-changing existence, there is always room for hope. 

ESF Research Conference

We are excited to invite you to the third annual ESF Centre for Research conference! This celebratory event is a fantastic opportunity for ESF educators and leaders to come together and share their reflections, insights, and innovations in practice from the past year. As a presenter or attendee, you'll have the chance to network with colleagues from different schools, share good practices, and connect with others passionate about educational research.
