Last two weeks! 💪🏼💪🏼

Please welcome our new Admin, Jasmine Lam. Due to the similarity, we will refer to our existing Jaz as Jaz and our latest recruit as Jasmine. Since we have pre-booked our supply Admin until the end-of-term, we will have an extra admin staff for these last two weeks. Please feel free to reach out if you need additional help with end-of-term jobs.

Fire Drill (Friday, 21 June)

A heads up that we planned a fire drill in both the AM and PM sessions. Please make a note of this date and review our Evacuation Procedures. The times will be around 9:10am and 1:20pm. We will evacuate out to our playground and line up by class.

Early Years Connect - June issue

This month, we explore:

  • Celebrating EA learning at Hillside 🙌
  • ESF Research Conference - what is education for?
  • How to redirect yourself with “One minute focus”
  • Summer luxuries of a teacher - we’re almost there!!

Check out the June issue here. Thank you all for your readership this year, peace out until next year ✌️

Reminder - Update required for Child Protection Basics Course

As part of ESF's commitment to student safety and welfare, we all need to update our Tes EduCare platform by completing the Child Protection Refresher for International Schools course. This three-module course includes a questionnaire at the end, and we encourage you to make use of the provided PDF resource when answering the questions.

The pass mark for this course is set at 70%, and successful completion will be acknowledged by all ESF schools where you may engage in summer work. There is no immediate deadline, but if you could kindly complete the course and drop your certificate HERE by October 2024, it would be greatly appreciated.

Should you encounter any content that triggers difficult memories or emotions, please do not hesitate to reach out to Audrey or Laura for support.

Please feel free to contact Jaz if you need help with your EduCare login.

Last Friday

Let's come together for a morning tea @ 11am ☕ to show appreciation to our wonderful cleaning staff on the last day of term, so please feel free to bring along treats to share. It's a half-day (8am-12noon) work day, so please plan accordingly.

Please use the time for general tidying and any classroom swap (Panda & Dolphin).

We would ask everyone to help with the end-of-term "tidying-up" process. Open cabinets, tidy items, and return them to their original/ designated place. You will need to work in teams to get through everything. Please refer to the "to-do" list here, many many thanks 🙇

Returning Library Books

Last week was the children's last opportunity to borrow library books for the year. Starting this week, please scan all returned books into the system, as Brenda will start to do a library audit and identify outstanding books. If stickers are peeling off or books need re-categorizing / mending, please make use of these baskets in the library:

As for all other books in your classroom, please ensure they are scanned back into the system and shelved by the last day of term.

Induction Sites

A warm reminder: please review the induction sites (K1 Site, K2 Site) and consider creating a new greeting video to welcome your new class. Feel free to use the existing story or create a new one. Kindly share your video HERE ASAP; otherwise, we will continue using the current video.

Upcoming Dates

Please check our internal calendar below, as we might forget to remind everyone of odd dates. We will continue to add events to the calendar as soon as it's confirmed. Here's the full 2023/24 Calendar 2024/25 Calendar
