Last week of school!!!!!

Thank you to each and every one of you for this school year. Your hard work, dedication, and support have truly made a difference in the lives of our children and families.

Returning to Hillside, I expected things to be easier, but it has become more hectic with the increased ESFC commitments and changing demographics. Despite the challenges, your support and understanding have been invaluable.

Thank you once again for all that you do. I am truly grateful to be part of such a dedicated team.🙌🏼

ESF CPD (ACTION REQUIRED)

There are two upcoming ESF-wide CPD options in September 2024. Early Years educators are expected to attend either the 28-29 Sept weekend conference or the 21 September ESF-wide CPD Day. Please read up on the details here and state your preference by today. 


The Saturday CPD day on 21 September is in lieu of working on Friday, 9 August 2024, to ensure we have 190 school days.


Thursday, 27 June - End of Year Social

Location: CoCoNuts Thai Bar & Grill, G/F West Block, Island Rd, Deep Water Bay

Time: ~4:30pm, Kwoon Chung will arrange a bus to take us there after school


We will celebrate our leavers at the social as CJ won't be at school on Friday morning (it's her son's school event). 


On this note, it's not a real farewell to Patsy, but we've prepared a gift that thank Patsy and wish her well. Please join us to send her some well wishes at lunch on Wednesday.


Last Friday 

We've prepared some morning tea @ 11am ☕ to show appreciation to our wonderful cleaning staff and on the last day of term, so please feel free to bring along treats to share. It's a half-day (8am-12noon) work day, so please plan accordingly. 


Please use the time for general classroom tidying and any classroom swap (Panda & Dolphin).

Please tidy up your classroom and remove the displays that you do not want to be damaged in your classroom. We would ask everyone to help with the end-of-term "tidying-up" process. Open cabinets, tidy items, and return them to their original/ designated place. You will need to work in teams to get through everything. Please refer to the "to-do" list here, many many thanks 🙇


End of Year Housekeeping

Food and perishables:
Please ensure that you remove any food that you will not eat and is likely to spoil during the holiday. Our cleaners will be cleaning out the refrigerators; therefore, it would help if you can clear out your stuff, especially if it needs throwing out.


Please try to avoid coming in on the following dates:

2nd July: no electricity, no internet

3rd, 4th July: no internet 

4th, 5th July big clean 


Canva for Education

If you do not have access to all Canva features yet, all ESF staff now have access to the Canva Pro version with all features. 

Please see the image below for how to log in; make sure you select "Contiue another way" and then "work email", NOT Google.

Ignore the code that Canva will send to your email; you do not need to sign in as you will click the Sign in with SSO button.
