Staffing Update

An official welcome to Jill and Ethan! It's great to have you both on our team 🎉

We've had some changes to the admin team staffing. Stephanie Kao will not return to Hillside, so we are back to two admins. Starting on 22 August, Vicky M will support Hillside on Monday-Thursday until she has fulfilled her other commitments before joining us full-time later this term. 


For this Week
  • On Monday, 12 August, 9am, the whole school staff meeting in the K2 shared area. Please sit in your class teams.
  • Staff can sign out their tech devices from admin (after the morning meeting).
  • 16 August, 12pm - We will host a "Welcome to Hillside" optional session for parents. Good-to-know info, but optional to attend. This session will be recorded and shared with those who cannot attend.
  • Next Monday, 19 August - All K2s resume, K1s staggered start.


PTCs

Teachers may opt to Zoom from home for PTCs on Wednesday and Thursday or sign up for a quiet space at Hillside.

You can view your class's "You Tell Us" PTC sign-up sheets here - K1 / K2.

Teachers, a warm reminder to send a welcome message to parents by Wednesday, 14 August. K1s, including Zoom links, and K2s, the Meet and Greet sign-up reminder.

Class Lists, Badge etc

Please note the K1 class lists / K2 class lists are not completed as we continue to have some withdrawal movements over the summer. The same goes for name badges, cubby stickers…etc. The admin team is also following up with KCM on bus lists.


Meeting Dates

A warm reminder of our meeting days, following on from our schedule last year, we usually will meet on:

Tuesdays - whole staff meetings

Wednesdays - open play meetings every other week (maybe year-level based)

Thursdays - EA PD but not weekly 

Teams decide on a mutual time for your weekly class time meetings


Google Calendar

A warm reminder to refer to our Staff Google Calendar (also always attached below) for any upcoming events, visitors, or important dates. We will do our best to keep the calendar up-to-date so everyone is informed and prepared. Sometimes, visitors are here for a meeting but might request a quick tour on the day. If we know that they will spend time on the floor in advance, we will give people the heads up. For any last-minute updates or changes, we will use the WhatsApp broadcast on the event day.
