ESF School Partnership Visits (previously called Performance Visits).

ESF Education Team: Mark Blackshaw (Director of Education), Chloe Pollack (Head of Curriculum & Learning), Jay Prohaska (Educational Technologies Lead), and Jacques Olivier-Perches (Head of Professional Learning) will be coming to Hillside on Friday for this visit.

The partnership visits provide an opportunity for all ESF Schools and the ESF Education Team to understand better:

  • Where are you now, and how do you know? - Discuss and understand what critical information, evidence, and previous initiatives informed the annual school enhancement plan.
  • What actions are planned and why? - Discuss the current school enhancement priorities and how this evidence and school context inform them.
  • How will you do this? - Discuss to unpack the implementation strategies designed to deliver the enhancement priorities.
  • What can we do to partner? - Outline key professional learning strategies to support the implementation planning and discuss opportunities for collaboration with other schools and the ESF Centre.
  • How can we provide ongoing support? - Document the meetings to create an 'ESF Partnership Plan' with each school that outlines key outcomes and requests.

Professional Reflection & Development (PRD)
You should have seen the Oracle PRD in the recent HR newsletter. An ebook has been written as a guide to support the use of the Oracle PRD platform. The book consists of two sections. The First Half - PRD Philosophy and the Second Half - "How To". To access Oracle PRD, click on the Oracle icon in Assembly.

As mentioned at our staff meeting, we are confident that professional learning/development will continue throughout the school year, especially via our engagement with the Observable Impact framework.

Here are a few questions to frame our PRD check-in discussions:

  • What's your one thing to master in teaching and learning?
  • How are you prioritising your well-being?
  • What are some ways to support collaboration and community growth?

You will be working with the same PRD coach as you did last year unless you've had a change in PD focus. We will share our schedule to arrange a check-in time in the upcoming weeks.

Upcoming Dates

Please check our internal calendar below. We might forget to remind everyone of odd dates. We will continue to add events to the calendar as soon as it's confirmed. Here's the full 2024/25 Calendar
