Morning! Thank you again for a fantastic Sports day! The group spirits were high in many classes, with lots of happy faces and positive feedback from parents. Thank you for sustaining your energy throughout the day, I know it’s not easy 💪🏼We will likely move to the HKFC next year if Bradbury can help us secure a better deal.

The ESF Explore coaches were great. We will get a few children to make thank-you cards to send over to them. Hopefully, they will come again next year.

Teacher PRD Check-in

Please take a moment to use this link to schedule your Term 2 check-in session before Easter: https://calendly.com/audrey-tang

Our professional learning and development will continue as we engage with the Observable Impact framework. Thank you all for your commitment and participation in this initiative.

To make the most of our time together, Brenda will join us for the first part of our check-in session to discuss your Observable Impact in relation to your Teaching and Learning focus. Please remember to complete your Heat Check.

The second part of your meeting with me will be dedicated to individual check-ins regarding other areas beyond T&L.

EA PRD Check-in

Laura and Brenda have scheduled in Monday 17 and Tuesday 18 March for EA PRD check-ins. We will send out the detailed schedule shortly after confirming the timings with the class teachers.

Impact Walk Feedback

A big thank you for your involvement in hosting the Impact Walk at our school. I am incredibly proud of the exceptional work we do and the positive impact you have on our learning community.

Your enthusiasm, professionalism, and collaborative spirit were evident throughout the event, and it is through your hard work that we were able to offer a meaningful and enriching experience to our visitors. Your willingness to open your classrooms, engage in conversations, and share your early years expertise reflects the passion and dedication you bring to our children each day.

The feedback from the Impact Walk has been transformed into a Podcast. I must admit, I was amazed (and a bit intimidated) by this impressive technology! You can listen to the Podcast here. While it may not be perfect - there are some repeated bits and a few misses - it’s still quite impressive!

PD - Dr Kate Williams

Professor Kate Williams has lead 2 ESF webinars so far, focusing on neuroscience, early childhood development, and most recently, components of self-regulation. All data presented is research-based and relevant to the 3-7 age group, and she tailors upcoming webinars based on staff interests and needs.

The science and power of rhythm and movement for development and wellbeing - 4 Mar, 5-6pm

Dr Kate Williams

Across the lifespan, beat and rhythm play an incredibly important role in brain, motor, and social-emotional development, and social cohesion. In this seminar, Professor Kate Williams will share some of the fascinating facts on how the human brain and body perceive rhythm, and how we can use this knowledge to support movement, development, and wellbeing for both children and educators. Participants will learn about Kate’s internationally renowned program, Rhythm and Movement for Self-Regulation (RAMSR), designed specifically to support children’s skills to manage their own emotions, attention, and behaviour.

Further down the line, she’s also presenting on 1 Apr & 13 May.

If you’d like to sign up, please drop Brenda a quick message and she’ll sign you up.
