Community Play Discussion (Wednesday Lunch - sorry date changed due to Impact Walk)

Thank you to all the teachers for your contributions during CP on Friday. It was very helpful for my own reflection and planning, and also, thank you for the laughs, which were much needed 😂 (2.5 weeks to go!)


I want to bring everyone together on Wednesday for a further discussion around Community Play arrangements before any changes are made. In the meantime, let’s continue with our current plan.


Some overarching ideas that emerged include allowing more time for mastery of skills by keeping some outdoor areas the same for longer periods, rather than changing every rotation. Additionally, there’s a recognised need for running space and a sensory area. We also value our EAs' input, so please let us know if you have any suggestions.


One change we can implement straightaway is for each year-group team to check the weather before Community Play time to determine if outdoor play is feasible.


Mural Project Update

We're excited to announce that the winning design for our mural project is Option 3! Thank you to everyone who participated in the voting process. We can’t wait to see how this design will bring life and colour to the “banana tree” wall and the front street-facing “walker door” wall. We are now waiting to hear back from ESFC Comms Team for the final approval before the next steps.


Google Chat Spaces

We’ve started creating Google Chat "spaces" for group chats/broadcasts and might notice a few test messages being sent out in the coming weeks. This will help us enhance our communication, so download the app if you haven't already done so. We will probably send something out when we're next all together to ensure it works for everyone.
