Vision Screening

Please check the Vision Screening Schedule and let us know if there are any clashes. We’ve tried to work it out, so that it doesn’t clash with your music class times and PE times. Floaters can assist with ushering small groups down to the library. 


Lunch Meetings (Tuesday teachers & Wednesday EAs)

We have scheduled separate lunch meetings for teachers and EAs this week, and you’re welcome to attend both if you’d like! On Tuesday, we’ll unpack the new Transdisciplinary Themes with teachers, and on Wednesday, there will be a music PD session for EAs.


Music Teacher (Wednesday)

We're excited to have Ashley Benusa, the BHS music teacher (and one of our parents), joining us on Wednesday to share her expertise. She will work with two classes at a time and will also facilitate a lunch PD session with us. Please see the schedule for details.

We’re mindful that it’s also vision screening day, so we’ll do our best to ensure there are no clashes with the allocated music class times.


Early Years Learning Walks ESF launched an early years phase leader working group in Term 1, and the next step is to engage in learning walks at schools. The purpose of these learning walks is to gain a better understanding of the current early years reality across ESF - using the Pedagogy of Play framework as our guide. During the walk, we will be observing the following practices in early years classrooms (K1-Y2) and giving feedback: Hillside is scheduled to visit:

  • Beacon Hill School on 11 Mar Tues (AM)
  • Tsing Yi Kindergarten on 12 Mar Wed (AM)
In turn, both these schools will visit us at Hillside on 17 Mar Mon (AM). If you are interested in joining a learning walk to BHS or TYK, please reach out to Brenda in the next couple of days.


External H&S Audit (Thursday)

ESF has arranged for an external party to conduct a Health & Safety Audit of Bradbury and Hillside on Thursday. We’ve requested that the Hillside site inspection be done during lunch hour to minimise disruption. You may notice some contractors around with the ESF facilities team during this time.


Library Leakage

We’re continuing to address the leakage issue in our library. The facilities team has completed a thorough investigation and identified it as a drainage problem. They will be removing one set of external cladding to fix this issue, and in the meantime, it will be covered with white canvas to keep everything secure.


OPRS Watchdog

Please note there will be no Watchdog OT on Tuesday as Amy will be on a training course.
