K1 PTC Week
Wednesday: K2 Move for Life | ESF Language group visits (PM)
Thursday: SJS K2-Y1 transition visits
Friday: ESF Wide Transition Day
PTC Arrangements
Due to space limitations, we will need to utilise the library and resource room for our upcoming PTCs. With multiple therapy spaces required, we would greatly appreciate it if library book exchanges could be accommodated in your classrooms.
Please note that Vks and Jasmine will be available to assist with parent phone calls or any issues that may arise on the day.
Staffroom
I’ve noticed that the staff spaces on both the K1 and K2 floors are getting a bit cluttered. As these are shared spaces, it’s our collective responsibility to keep them tidy. Please help by decluttering; this is not a dumping ground! If you have items that belong in a cupboard, kindly store them away. If we need more storage boxes or organisational solutions, let’s order some. While we appreciate the handmade resources some of you create, if they aren’t durable, please consider throwing them out. Let’s work together to make our staffroom a pleasant space for everyone.
New Staff Teams
I know many of you are eager to learn about your new teams. However, we are still waiting for confirmation on new recruits, and we need to consider the collective strengths across the school to ensure balance. Thank you for your patience as we finalise these arrangements.
K1 to K2 Transition
We will be splitting the K1 classes in half and regrouping them to form new K2 classes, with the aim of balancing out needs and personalities. We hope to get this sorted in the first week of June.
In line with our K2 to Y1 transition practice, we will ensure that the K2 teacher joins any IEP meetings that may take place. Additionally, we will organise handover sessions for K1 and K2 teachers during the first week of June.
Friday, 6th June, will be our K1 to K2 transition day. The K1 children can wear their new K2 class stickers. For those not returning to K2, we will provide them with a different sticker so they feel included. Please ensure that the stickers are securely attached to their name badges to avoid them falling off. Thank you!
