Good morning, team!

For This Week
  • K1s unaccompanied, 2-hrs this week. Please remember, floaters are available—don’t hesitate to ask for extra help on the floor as needed.
  • Tuesday: QBS Principal Sue Yee and QBS Admin will visit (AM) | Whole staff lunch meeting

Going Home Time

As new families get used to the walker and bus-child protocols, we’ll continue to hold the buses until we confirm all children are accounted for to avoid any confusion with “unknown” walkers or bus children. Please double-check if you see any adults waiting around without a child, and if a walker has no grown-up, check if they should be on the bus instead.

Please remain on-site until all your children have left safely—all buses gone and any remaining walkers confirmed. Your support may be needed in case of a mix-up or to help locate a child. Thank you for your vigilance.

Resource Ordering

Please use our resource ordering form instead of handwritten notes. This helps the admin team process orders more efficiently. We place orders fortnightly (check the cut-off date in the document), but if you need something urgently—like cooking ingredients or fresh fruit—feel free to purchase it and claim petty cash afterwards. However, if it’s over $300, please check with Jaz. Your flexibility is much appreciated!

OI Refresher – Tuesday Staff Meeting

As we settle into the term, it’s helpful to pause and reflect on the behaviour patterns that tend to appear as the year progresses. Knowing these seasonal trends helps us respond with care and understanding—for children, ourselves, and our families.

On Tuesday, we’ll use the S-E-T (Students–Educators–Tasks) model to break down what we’re noticing and discuss how we can help every child feel safe and engaged. Please think about what you’ve observed in your class so far, and ideas for what we might focus on next.

For reference, here are two documents we’ve worked on:
