CEO & CFO Visits

Both the CEO and CFO have scheduled separate school visits on Thursday morning. They’ll be coming one after the other for a catch-up, and Belinda has specifically asked to visit classrooms. Please expect us to be walking around during the morning.

Class Suspension Last Thursday

You may have seen some discussion in the community about the decision to suspend all ESF classes last Thursday, as well as the CEO’s follow-up message to parents.

I’d like to give you some context:

  • Communication flow: Some ESF schools, meaning well, sent early updates to families saying their school buildings were safe and ready to reopen. Afterwards, there was a centralised message confirming all 22 schools would be closed, which caused confusion.
  • Safety first: The main reason for the group-wide closure was that, during the T8 signal, we could not send teams to check for damage, nor could we ask contractors or site staff to work overnight. So, ESFC couldn’t guarantee that every campus would be safe for students and staff the next day.

I wanted to provide this context to keep everyone in the loop. Thank you for your understanding as we prioritise everyone’s safety.

LMS Updates

Thank you for your continued patience with the new LMS system. We are meeting with the LMS team this morning to discuss the issues and hope to have some solutions and updates for you soon.
