Morning everyone - Happy Diwali, everyone!
A big thank-you to Jiya and Nita for leading such a lovely and festive assembly for the children on Friday. It was wonderful to see them celebrating together.
For This Week
- K1 PTC Week – Thank you once again for your flexibility and cooperation with the PTC schedule.
- Monday: EA recruitment – please expect candidates on the floor.
- Friday: Staff flu shots from 11:50 a.m. to 12:50 p.m. in the G/F office.
PTCs (Weeks 10 and 12)
As space is limited, we’ll be using the library and resource room as Zoom spaces.
Therapy sessions will move to outside the resource room for these two weeks.
We would really appreciate it if library book exchanges could take place in your classrooms during this time. An extra laptop for book borrowing is available in the office.
Jasmine and Vicky will be available to assist with parent phone calls or any issues that come up on the day.
Here’s the tentative cover schedule:
K1 PTCs
K2 PTCs - Week 12, cover to follow.
EA PRD Check-in
Laura and Brenda have scheduled the next several weeks for EA PRD check-ins. Please check the schedule here and note down your allocated slot. Cover will be provided, and we will meet in the office.
Ahead of time, please have a think about the following questions:
- What excites you about the year ahead, and is there anything you need to support your work-life balance and wellbeing?
- What are your professional development goals for the upcoming academic year, and what support do you feel you would need to achieve them?
- What aspects of your current role do you enjoy the most, and which parts do you find the most challenging?
- What information would you like your manager to know about you to better support your growth and success?
ESF Hub Glitches
Thank you for your patience and constructive feedback as we continue to navigate our new LMS/ESF Hub.
We understand some test messages regarding PTCs have caused confusion. This occurred when LMS programmers were testing the platform and unintentionally used real data in the configuration. We appreciate your understanding as the team continues to fine-tune the system.
Cybersecurity Reminders
Circling back to the recent cybersecurity updates — we’ll gradually be reviewing and reorganising some of our shared documents. Over time, certain documents will move to a shared Google Drive that can be publicly accessible to parents (HS Public Share).
We’ll keep you informed once we’ve decided how this will work best. Please rest assured, your personal documents will not be moved.
Eventually, we’ll turn off the public sharing function in personal folders, so only documents placed in the shared drive can be viewed publicly.
Thank you for helping us keep our data management secure and consistent across the school.
World Mental Health Day
Recently, we marked World Mental Health Day—a good reminder of our shared responsibility to care for ourselves and support each other.
At ESF, we’re committed to strengthening mental health and wellbeing for all, guided by the principles of inclusion, empowerment, support, and respect.
Nine commitments underpin our efforts across all schools, and we each play a role—through self-care, reaching out to others, and fostering a culture of understanding.
A kind word or caring question can make a big difference to someone who might be struggling.
Why not check in with a colleague or student today? Even a short conversation can mean a lot.
If you are finding things difficult, please remember you are not alone.
Confidential support is available through our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). You can reach out to HR for more information or refer to the image below for contact details.
Upcoming Dates
Please check our internal calendar below. We might forget to remind everyone of odd dates. We will continue to add events as soon as they're confirmed.
