We’ll host play visits throughout the day in four classrooms. Please refer to the HSK Play Visit Guidance.
The master Excel sheet with all the play visit forms has been shared — please review it ahead of time.
Teams:
During the same day, we’d appreciate everyone’s help with the end‑of‑term tidy‑up.
Class EAs, please open cabinets, sort and return items to their correct places, and work in teams to get through your assigned areas efficiently.
A “to‑do” list is linked for reference — many thanks in advance for your teamwork and care with this. π
General Housekeeping and Facilities Updates
The entire school will undergo deep cleaning on 17 and 18 December. Please avoid coming to school on these days.
The cleaning company will steam clean carpets, as well as clean light fixtures, windows, and air‑conditioners.
Please remove or cover any classroom displays that you don’t want to be damaged.
IT Assets
Please return all laptops, iPad minis, and chargers to Vicky by Friday noon. Jeff will upgrade the iOS systems over the holidays.
Imagine has determined that it may be beneficial for new referrals to be directed to a new speech therapist, Teresa Ha, this change comes as Jan has recently taken on a substantial caseload. Teresa is interested in transitioning to this role, and we’ve discussed the option of organizing a Q&A session for teachers during CP in early January. This session would provide a valuable opportunity for her to connect with teachers and gain insights into the students who may be entering the referral system from the school.
Following the November meeting, here’s a quick summary:
-
ESF Hub:
Rosh Harjani (Learning Management Systems Lead) shared updates on the ESF Hub project — integration of Toddle and Sentral, challenges with the secondary rollout, and the proposed extended pilot phase. Feedback from users will be vital to refine systems further. -
PLD:
Jacques‑Olivier Perche (Head of Professional Learning) shared feedback from the 13 October ESF‑wide PLD day, noting low response rates and the need for more actionable insights. A new PLD model for 2025–26 is being proposed, focusing on peer‑to‑peer learning and curriculum‑led sessions to increase engagement and showcase internal expertise. -
Exams:
John Turner (Head of Education, School Enhancement and Innovation) presented on GCSE and IB results, highlighting diverse student achievements and pathways such as the IB Careers Programme and BTECs. Discussion centred on aligning student pathways with strengths, reducing stigma around non‑DP options, and promoting broader university recognition.
