Happy New Year, everyone! 🎉
I hope you all had a restful break and are feeling refreshed and ready for a positive start to 2026.
Monday (today): Professional Learning Day
Firstly, an official welcome to Caroline, who starts today, as Jill will start her maternity leave this week.
Similarly, Valentina will take on her new role, and Juliet will also begin her maternity leave in a few days. We are still in the process of figuring out LET support. We appreciate your patience during this time.
As we kick off the new year, I want to thank everyone once again for your effort and dedication during those last few busy weeks before the holiday. It was a challenging time, and I truly appreciate how you all handled everything with care, professionalism, and teamwork.
Together, we "play‑visited" around 200 children, accepting approximately 85% of them. We’ll be seeing 14 children again, plus a few who were absent, on 12 January on the K2 floor (Science Museum Trip).
I’m also pleased to share that we raised $66,700 from the Dress‑Down Day and ReUniform Sale in support of the Tai Po Fire Relief Fund — a heartfelt thank‑you to everyone who took part and contributed.
Start: 9:00 a.m.
Morning focus:
- Recap of our current work around self‑regulation — tools, strategies, and key learning so far
- Sharing from the RAMSR Professional Development (Rhythm and Movement for Self‑Regulation)
- Break mid‑morning
- Return around 11:00 a.m. to complete the S‑E‑T (See‑Experience‑Think) reflection — please use the digital form created for your class team LINK
Whizz Kidz Training - Disability Awareness (5 Mar) & Wheelchair Skills (16 Apr)
Strengthen your knowledge of wheelchair accessibility and support within the school and PE setting by joining our two-part awareness training workshop.
This workshop, led by Whizz Kidz, the UK's leading charity for young wheelchair users, is an opportunity for young wheelchair users, their families, and their peers to engage with the organisation. All phases—kindergarten, primary, and secondary—are invited to attend.
What we will explore:

This evening marks the beginning of an animated film project in collaboration with Joanna Bowers, featuring real stories from neurodivergent individuals in Hong Kong.
