- Staff Calendar
Morning all, It's February! Two weeks until LNY. We are looking forward to a festive and active week ahead.
A warm reminder, Friday, 13 February will be a half-day for staff (no children).
This is part of an ESF‑wide adjustment, moving the usual half day before Easter to align with Lunar New Year.
We’d like to ask teams to assist once again in running one Admissions Play Visit session from 9:00–10:00 a.m., as we are currently under‑enrolled for incoming K1s. Thank you. 🙏🏼
- Tuesday: Staff Lunch Meeting
- Wednesday: Lion & Dragon Dance at Bradbury | Festive Dress‑up
- Friday: Sports Day
We’ll continue our Observable Impact discussions and finalise Sports Fun Day preparations together. Thank you for coming prepared to share and contribute.
We’ll be heading over to Bradbury School Hall to watch their Lion and Dragon Dance on Wednesday, 4 February, at the following times:
AM: 9:15–9:35
PM: 1:30–1:50
Directions:
Please use the back staircase corridor leading to Bradbury’s undercover area. Take the stairs up, walk through their lobby, and enter the hall.
We’re pleased to have ESF Chinese Advisor Tina Tian joining us to lead the traditional eye‑dotting ceremony during the performance. Children are welcome to wear Lunar New Year costumes or festive colours, and staff are also welcome to dress for the occasion.
A gentle reminder to please review the Sports Day plan, including your roles, stations, and timings. Thank you all for the preparation and teamwork that goes into making this a positive and energetic day for our children.
Key reminders:
- Please coordinate with your class teams to prepare for your assigned activity station.
- Each EA team will be assigned to a specific activity, while teachers guide their classes through the stations.
- There will be five stations per rotation, with a water break built in for each group.
We’ll begin the day by greeting everyone together and leading one English and one Chinese warm‑up song to get the children energised and ready. After the warm‑up, classes will move to their first station, which will be run by their class EAs (e.g. Gecko class will head to the station managed by the Gecko EAs).
- K1 rotations will be supported by the ESF Explore Sports coaches
- K2 will have a rest station, supervised by the LE team
- Each activity will run for approximately 10 minutes, with flexibility to adjust as needed
Logistics:
- Please arrive before 9:00 a.m. to support set‑up
- All equipment should be collected in the office by Thursday lunch, so our admin team can organise it for delivery
- Please check the spreadsheet for your station details and any specific equipment needed
Here are some photos from our last Sports Day there.
