Staff Meeting (Tuesday)

Jaap Marsman (Adviser for Safeguarding & Child Protection) will be leading a session on: Navigating Challenging Conversations with Parents

This will include practical strategies for conversations related to:

  • Child protection
  • Learning diversity
  • Accidents/incidents

The session draws on Motivational Interviewing for Working with Children and Families and should be highly practical and relevant for all.

Upcoming PD Opportunity – Playful Schools Conference

Wednesday, 27 May 2026 (online, free)

Speakers include:

  • Ben Mardell from Harvard – Pedagogy of Play
  • Anne van Dam & Fiona Zinn - Vitality, Creativity and Meaning-making in Play
  • Other themes include outdoor learning, playful maths, makerspaces and more!

HR New System: Workday – Key Dates
  • 30 April 2026: iLeave/EAccess closes
  • ⚠️ 1–19 May 2026: Temporary leave arrangements (manual form via Assembly) 
  • 20 May 2026: Workday Go Live

From 20 May, you will be able to:

  • Submit and approve leave
  • Access salary slips

Approved leave will carry over automatically — no action needed.

Fire Drill (Every 6 months)

We are planning to run our fire drill on Tuesday, 5 May (weather permitting).

  • Approx. 9:10am and 1:20pm
  • Evacuation to the playground, lining up by class

Please take a moment to review Evacuation Procedures.

We have also updated our Shelter in Place (Lockdown) procedures — hopefully not needed, but it is important that we are all familiar.
