Morning all, last month to go! Thank you for your continued focus and care as we move into June.
There are no staff meetings scheduled over the next few days.
This time is set aside for K1–K2 teacher handover meetings, so please use this time to connect, share key information, and support smooth transitions for the children.
Thank you again for your engagement in our recent reflection session. It was great to see the level of thought and honesty in both the 'Google Review' activity and the 'Flight Deck' exercise.
There are some clear patterns emerging:
- Children are increasingly independent and confident
- Self-regulation strategies are becoming part of everyday practice
- Strong relationships and a positive sense of community remain a key strength
The next step is not about adding more, but about being more consistent — particularly in:
- How we support self-regulation
- How we organise our environments
- How we align approaches across classrooms
Looking ahead, our direction will centre on consistency of practice through clear communication. This includes:
- Strengthening shared expectations across year groups (including K–Y1 transition)
- Building stronger partnerships with families to make learning more visible (continuum reporting)
Our focus is on embedding what we already do well, so that every child experiences the same high-quality support across Hillside.

EA PRD Check‑Ins
Laura and Brenda have scheduled EA PRD check‑ins for next week. Please check the shared schedule and note your allocated time. Cover will be provided, and meetings will take place in the office. Thank you for engaging thoughtfully in this professional reflection process.

Safeguarding & Photography at Events
Families have been reminded to:
- Focus on their own child when taking photos/videos
- Blur or crop other children before sharing online
- Avoid use of cameras in private areas
End-of-Year Gifting – ESF Policy Update
Key reminders shared:
- Gifts are voluntary
- Value limits apply (HK$1000 individual / HK$5000 group)
- No public discussion of contributions
