Morning everyone,

We’re into the final two weeks of term — we are finishing strong πŸ’ͺ🏼 Thank you all — nearly there!

We have secured Anita as a full-time EA starting in August. She will be joining the Dolphins for a few more sessions before the summer to get to know the routines and the team, which will help support a smooth transition.

On Tuesday, we will also have another supply EA, Helena Wu, who joins us from a piano teacher background, teaching students from 3 and up. Please help to welcome and support both new colleagues.

For This Week
Wednesday: K2 Celebration of Learning πŸŽ‰
Thursday: K1 Celebration of Learning πŸŽ‰

Water Fun Day

We’ve made a copy of last year’s Water Fun Day plan for you to review and adapt as needed.

We’ve also pencilled in time during next Tuesday’s lunch meeting to go through this together.

Last Day of Term

A key priority will be classroom moves (for some), followed by a full end-of-term tidy-up.

  • Please open cabinets, organise materials, and return items to their correct places
  • Work together as teams to get through spaces efficiently
  • Refer to the “to-do” list here

We would also appreciate your support with:

  • Bringing out stairwell items and larger resources
  • Placing any broken or unwanted items in one designated area. Please add a photo here, as we may need to complete paperwork for certain items.

Thank you in advance — this makes a big difference in preparing for next year πŸ™‡

We’ll come together for a morning tea at 10:30 ☕ with canapΓ©s and tea/coffee.

Committee of Teachers – Key Updates

Summary from Brenda following the last meeting:

Professional Learning Days 2026-27

  • John Turner outlined the strategy for October 2026: Primary and Kindergarten schools will be paired based on their "skinny plan" enhancement priorities to co-design their learning day.
  • The February 2027 PL day will follow a conference-style format focusing on Belonging, Engagement, and Personalisation, with teachers and senior leaders facilitating workshops.

Stakeholder Survey

  • Mark Blackshaw shared that the overall satisfaction scores remain high. Qualitative data indicated that staff highly value the collegiality, professional development, and inclusive environments within ESF.
  • Areas marked for improvement included staff wellbeing, workload, the condition of school facilities, and consistent behaviour management

Wellbeing Framework

  • Tracey Chitty presented the new ESF Wellbeing Framework, developed in alignment with research from the IB and University of Oxford. The framework establishes a shared language categorised into three areas:
Individual - personal health and self-care routines
Collective - shared support, relationships, workplace culture
Systemic - leadership, policies, enabling environments
